Our Inter-Library Loan (ILL) service is here to give you access to library materials that the Greenwich Library system does not own. We can request material from public and academic libraries across the United States. Our ILL service is free. You must have a valid library card from Perrot Library or Greenwich Library.
What is available through Inter-Library Loan?
DVDs and CDs
Photocopies of newspaper, magazine, or journal articles
Photocopies of specific pages of non-circulating or reference material (e.g., local history or genealogy). The more specific the request the higher the chance of success
What is not available through Inter-Library Loan?
New material that is less than six months old
Inter-Library loan requests will be filled as quickly as possible. Turnaround time will vary depending on the lending library and the type of material requested. Loan periods are determined by the lending library. We will lend items for 3 weeks. We will notify you in advance of a shorter loan period. Renewal of material is determined by the lending library. We can often accommodate one renewal of most material. The overdue fee for ILLs is $1/day. ILLs must be returned to Perrot, not to any other library.
To request an item for Inter-Library Loan, please fill out a white General Request Card, which is available at either of our circulation desks, or fill out the online form below.
