[Fiction] The highly-praised author of Saturday and Atonement, among other titles, writes his most spare novel here, detailing the first night that two very innocent just-marrieds go on their honeymoon. While the novel is slight in size, it is quite poignant and there is depth to McEwan’s descriptions and characterizations of young newlyweds Florence and Edward.
