It’s a story of good versus evil done as Auchincloss does best. A good tale.

[Fiction] A fun, witty book about a group of women who meet for a knitting club and decide to organize and go on strike for Christmas. They all have their own complaints about how much work it is (and it always seems to be "women’s work" to make Christmas happen each year. Who does the shopping, the cleaning, the cooking, and gift wrapping if they are on strike? These ladies come up with a solution, but it may just backfire! Just a quick, fun read.

[Fiction] Would you like to give yourself a gift? If so, please read this book. The best word to describe this novel is "fey." The Waverly women, Claire and Sydney, have unusual talents: Evanelle, an aunt, gives gifts to people long before they know they need them. Bay, Sydney’s young daughter, has a gift of knowing where things belong. There is a whole sub-story of the effects of flowers in food. Oh… and the apple tree! Did I mention that?

SENTINEL OF THE SEAS: LIFE AND DEATH AT THE MOST DANGEROUS LIGHTHOUSE EVER BUILT, BY DENNIS M. POWERS
[Non-Fiction] "Dragon Rocks" was the name given to a dangerous reef off the coast of Northern California. In 1865, 225 lives were lost when a side-wheeler struck the reef. The end result of this disaster was the construction of St. George Reef Lighthouse. This is the story of its construction and its intrepid keepers over the years.
